How much does it cost to attend?

Trade Visitors
Qualified trade visitors do not need to purchase tickets, they may register online to receive their Trade Visitor Pass that allows them free entry. All trade visitors will be required to provide trade identification to guarantee entry to the expo.

Public Visitors
Visitors can buy tickets to the Building & Home Improvement Expo online. Tickets will also be available to purchase upon arrival at the Expo, though tickets purchase online receive a discount of over 20%.

How do I qualify as a Trade Visitor?

If you are a Builder, Building Designer, Architect, Interior Designer, Interior Decorator, Plumber, Property Developer, Painter or Landscaper you can register for free as a Trade Visitor. Business Identification must be produced at the Trade Verification desk at the Expo to gain access.

What sort of products will I see?

As Australia's No. 1 building and renovating expo visitors can expect to see 1000s of new product releases plus the very latest in sustainable solutions.

Not only will visitors get the chance to discover and buy the latest and best products, but there will be plenty of opportunities to get expert advise and meet professionals that will be able to assist you with building and renovating projects.

Can students attend?

Only tertiary students studying a relevant course in Building, Construction, Architecture or Interior Design / Decorating are permitted free entrance into the Expo on Friday 15 July.

To gain free entry on Friday 15 July students must show relevant Student ID and proof of their enrolment in any of the above mentioned courses.

Groups of 6 or more students must have their Teacher apply in writing to the Organiser via email buildexpo@aec.net.au students that are not studying in the above courses or wanting to attend on Saturday or Sunday are offered a discounted entry which can be purchased at the door.

 

Are there child-minding facilities?

No, these facilities are not available at the venue.

 

Will there be any special events?

Yes there is a range of attractions that run during the Expo, all designed to educate and entertain visitors with an interest in building and home improvement.
